Join the Atlanta Department of City Planning for an engaging evening with award-winning author, preservationist, and cultural developer Gene Kansas as he discusses his acclaimed book, Civil Sights: Sweet Auburn, a Journey Through Atlanta’s National Treasure. Kansas will be interviewed by Brennen Collins, Associate Director and Academic Professional at Georgia State University. Following the talk, enjoy a brief, guided tour highlighting key historical landmarks within Sweet Auburn, bringing the narratives from “Civil Sights” to life.
