Civic, business, and academic leaders from across the state set policy and direction for Georgia Humanities. The governor of Georgia appoints up to six members, and members of the public nominate the remainder of the board.

Know someone who champions the humanities and leads in their community? The Board’s Membership Committee strives to build a Board that reflects the full breadth of Georgia, and we welcome nominations from the public.

Applying for yourself: Your name, email, phone number, and employer, along with a brief statement about why you want to join the Board.
Nominating someone else: Your name, email, and phone number, plus the nominee’s name, email, phone number, employer, and a few words on why they’d be a great fit.
