World War I and America — Veterans panel discussion
Clayton State University library will host a panel discussion on America’s role in World War I. Veterans of such recent conflicts as Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan will bring their experiences to bear on the topic and examine the lasting legacies of World War I.
This project is sponsored by the Library of America, which has created a reader for the project, and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
The themes of this discussion include “Why fight?,” “Race and WWI,” and “America on the world stage.” Readings are available here.
