Primus E. King helped African-Americans gain the right to vote in Georgia by challenging the constitutionality of the State Democratic Party’s refusal to allow him to vote in 1940. As part of their “Constitution and Me” program series, join the Chattahoochee Valley Libraries for a lecture exploring important details of the King decision using primary sources and other materials in the Library’s collection.
This program is supported by a grant from Georgia Humanities.
