Countdown to Zero: Defeating Polio
The Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum present a day devoted to the historic effort to wipe out polio. Tour the Countdown to Zero: Defeating Disease exhibition; watch a performance of Franklin Roosevelt, polio’s most famous victim; meet the last March of Dimes poster child, Pam Henry, and see a film about her life; and hear author Kaye Lanning Minchew discuss her book, A President in Our Midst: Franklin Delano Roosevelt in Georgia, a co-publication of Georgia Humanities and the University of Georgia Press.
Admission for adults is $6. Children 16 and under are free.
