DESCRIPTION:Join Synchronicity Theatre for three pre-show talks that explore where science meets the stage\, and the complex moral history of the U.S. space program. Each discussion connects with Synchronicity’s production of Crystal Skillman’s The Rocket Men. \nThe first discussion panel\, led by University of Alabama–Huntsville history professor Molly Wilkinson\, will examine the history of the Dora-Mittelbau concentration camp and the lessons it holds for today. The discussion will take place from 3:30 – 4:30 pm\, followed by a performance at 5:00 pm. \nThis program series is supported by a grant from Georgia Humanities.

The conversation will feature Sandy Berman\, founding archivist of the William Breman Jewish Heritage Museum and author of several books\, including Whitewashed. The discussion will take place from 3:30 – 4:30 pm\, followed by a performance at 5:00 pm. \nThis program series is supported by a grant from Georgia Humanities.

Schinazi Distinguished Research Chair of Jewish Bioethics at Emory University and head of the planned Center for Conflict Transformation\, Mediation\, Civic Dialogue\, and Peacebuilding. The evening will begin with a talk from 4:00 – 4:30 pm\, followed by a performance at 5:00 pm\, and a post-show reflection and discusssion. \nThis program series is supported by a grant from Georgia Humanities.
