DESCRIPTION:Common Thread: Contemporary African American Quilts Opening \nWesleyan College will host an opening reception and exhibition with Georgia artist Ellen Blalock\, and Macon artists Carolyn Mendes\, Rudy Mendes\, and Wini McQueen. These artists will present and give a gallery talk on their art on exhibit. With aesthetics ranging from highly representational to abstract\, the artworks will be on display in the East and West galleries of the Porter Family Memorial Fine Arts building on the Wesleyan College campus.
