DESCRIPTION:From Swords to Plowshares: Metal Trench Art from World War I \nThis exhibition at the Columbus Museum offers a glimpse into the dazzling array of objects known as “trench art\,” which applies to any functional or decorative object made by soldiers\, prisoners of war\, or civilians from war material or any other material associated with armed conflict. Makers of trench art utilized artillery shells\, bullets\, shrapnel\, aircraft parts\, currency\, and other miscellaneous metal scrap and applied materials. \nThe exhibition will be on view March 10 through July 15. \nThis exhibition is supported by a grant from Georgia Humanities. \n  \n
