A Toast to Jewish Participation in Our City \nHeritage Sandy Springs is partnering with local Jewish organizations and the Breman Museum to collect\, archive\, and preserve the Jewish history of Sandy Springs. A traveling exhibition explores the community’s founding and the growth of Jewish life and culture in the city. The exhibition is on display at Temple Sinai through January 5\, 2018. \nThis event is supported by a grant from Georgia Humanities.

DESCRIPTION:Sewell Mill Museum Ribbon Cutting: A Celebration of the Textile Mill Heritage of West Georgia \nThe Sewell Mill Historical Museum will officially open on December 14\, in advance of the 2018 centennial of the Sewell Mill\, which produced the first tailored garment made in the South. The museum is one of several official stopping sites of Georgia’s Textile Heritage Trail\, which runs from Dalton\, Georgia\, down the Highway 27 corridor\, and ends in Columbus\, Georgia. \nThe West Georgia Textile Heritage Trail is a heritage tourism initiative managed by the Center for Public History at the University of West Georgia. \nThis is a community event. \n
