DESCRIPTION:In Plain View: African American Women Entrepreneurs of Morgan County exhibition\, February 5 – April 30\, 2017 \nThrough complicated histories and narratives\, documentary photographs\, memorabilia\, and dialogue\, the exhibition In Plain View: African American Women Entrepreneurs of Morgan County\, Georgia examines entrepreneurial women of the Plainview community: landowners Anna Charleston\, Jessie Andrews\, and Katie Lowe. This project is a collaborative effort between documentary photographer and mixed media artist Lynn Linnemeier\, volunteer photographers\, descendants of Anna Charleston\, the Morgan County African American Museum staff\, and the Morgan County African American community. \nAn opening reception and artist talk takes place February 5\, 2:00-4:00pm at the Morgan County African American Museum. \nIn Plain View is on display February 5-April 30\, 2017. \nThis exhibition is supported by a grant from Georgia Humanities.
