SUMMARY:Poe Revisited - New Examinations of Poe's Prose and Poetry
DESCRIPTION:Join poet Laura Davenport and The Learning Center’s founding director Roger Smith for five guided reading sessions that delve into the life and works of Edgar Allan Poe—magazine editor and critic\, accomplished poet and storyteller\, trailblazer in science fiction\, and the inventor of detective fiction. Though his life was brief\, Poe’s influence on American literature has endured for generations. These sessions will bring new life to his prose and poetry\, offering participants fresh insights into the mind of a literary genius. (The cost is $40 for all five sessions). \nThis program is supported by a grant from Georgia Humanities.
