SUMMARY:Historic Jewish Atlanta Civil Rights Tour
DESCRIPTION:Historic Jewish Atlanta Civil Rights Tour \nThe history of race relations in Atlanta is often examined only from white and African American perspectives. Jewish testimony provides an important third perspective on the topic. This tour will visit sites around Atlanta pertinent to Jewish civil rights history\, including The Temple\, Rich’s Department Store building\, Peachtree Manor Hotel\, and the Doubletree Hilton (formerly the Americana Motor Hotel). Tours will be led by historian Mark Bauman and author and tour guide Jeff Clemmons. Reigstration is required. \nThis exhibition is supported by a grant from Georgia Humanities.
