The Life and Art of Athos Menaboni

The Life and Art of Athos Menaboni is the first public program to accompany the Athos Menaboni: Framing His Journey—Celebrating the 125th Anniversary of the Birth of a  Georgia Artist exhibition presented by the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art.

This educational program will be led by the exhibition’s guest curator, Russell Clayton, who will speak on all phases of the artist’s life and career.

Athos Menaboni: Framing His Journey is an expansive and in-depth Athos Menaboni exhibition and is presented by the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art. This  exhibition features twenty-three of Menaboni’s works that have never before been displayed in public and also includes three works that have not been displayed in more than twenty years. Debuting April 4, 2020, and on display through June 21, the exhibition focuses on several key periods of Menaboni’s life and career, such as his early drawings, corporate and private commissions, and his famous bird paintings, including forty-four lithographed Christmas cards commissioned by Robert Woodruff from 1941 through 1984.
