Henrietta Dozier

Who was Henrietta Dozier?

Georgia-raised Henrietta Dozier designed churches, schools, banks, houses, and apartments, after receiving a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1899, where she was one of three women in her class. Although she designed buildings all over Atlanta, only four are attributed to her. Dozier’s diligence was nevertheless rewarded in 1905 when she was admitted to the American Institute of Architects.
