Nomination Guidelines
Who's your Georgia humanities hero? Nominate a person or organization in your community who has made a significant impact through their work in the humanities.
Qualifications
Every community has in its midst heroes who enrich civic life at the local level through their recognition of the importance of the humanities in our lives.
Such people include those:
- who research and develop exhibits on local history or other cultures
- who work in their communities to preserve local landmarks
-
master teachers who enrich learning experiences within and outside of the classroom
-
volunteers for cultural organizations who research and present important stories and who keep the doors of institutions open
- staff who go above and beyond the call of duty providing cultural leadership in the state that defies job description.
These heroes see the connection between the past and future of their neighborhoods and communities.
By their examples, they help us to recognize the importance of the humanities in all our lives.
