The Governor's Awards celebrate local community members and organizations that are working to increase the understanding and appreciation of the humanities in Georgia.
Overview
The purpose of this event is to recognize exemplary work in the humanities and to highlight awardees as models for others in the state.
Hundreds of educators, business, and cultural leaders gather to celebrate the humanities each year. The event begins with the Annual Humanities Lecture. Awards are presented at a luncheon that follows.
