This summer We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution will sponsor a summer teacher workshop for grades 2-5. Please read below for further information:

The Plains Experience: Traveling Through Time

June 7-9, 2010

This workshop will use historic sites, oral history, memoirs, and other primary and secondary sources associated with President Jimmy Carter to help teachers develop activities related to the Georgia Performance Standards history and civics strands for grades 2-5.  After completion of the course, participants will receive a classroom set of materials for the We the People: the Citizen and the Constitution program from the Center for Civic Education.

The workshop is free and includes lodging and most meals for participants, as well as the instructional program, resources for classroom use, and 2 PLUs.
