History Day in Georgia
National History Day in Georgia, 2006 Results "Taking a Stand in History "
On May 6, 2006, over 300 middle and high school students from schools all over Georgia participated in the National History Day in Georgia state contest, hosted at Macon State College. Students entered papers, exhibits, performances, and documentaries on a variety of topics, all related to the theme "Communication in History: The Key to Understanding." Approximately 40 historians from across the state volunteered to serve as judges, and the GHC greatly thanks them for their time and efforts.
Those winning at the state level, advance to the national competition June 11-15th in Maryland. We wish them the very best as they prepare for the competition.
