Directions to Old Georgia Railroad Freight Depot

The Old Georgia Railroad Freight Depot is located on Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, between Courtland Street and Central Avenue. It is behind the old World of Coca Cola building and a parking lot, under a mural of whales.

If Southbound on I-75/85: Take Exit 248A (Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive/State Capitol/Turner Field Exit). Follow MLK, Jr. Drive through to the third traffic light. The Depot is on your right.

If Northbound on I-75/85: Take Exit 246 (Central Avenue/Fulton Street Exit). Follow Fulton Street, at the light turn right onto Fulton Street. Follow to the next light (Capitol Avenue), and turn left. Follow Capitol Avenue to Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive (this is a corner immediately beside the State Capitol). Turn left onto MLK, Jr. Drive. Go through the next light. The Depot is on your right.

If coming I-20 Westbound: Take Capitol Avenue Exit 58A. From the exit ramp, turn right onto Capitol Avenue. Follow it to Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive (this is a corner immediately beside the State Capitol). Turn left onto MLK, Jr. Drive. Go through the next light. The Depot is on your right.

If coming I-20 Eastbound: Take Exit 56B (Windsor/Spring Street Exit). Follow straight to Central Avenue (3rd traffic light). Turn left onto Central Avenue. At the first traffic light, turn right onto Memorial Drive. Go to the second traffic light on Memorial, and then turn left onto Capitol Avenue. Go to the second light (beside the State Capitol), and turn left onto Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. Go through the first traffic light, and the Depot is on the right.

Marta: Exit at the Five Points Station. Walk straight through Underground Atlanta. Exit the glass doors beside Johnny Rockets and the Depot is located directly in front of you.

Parking Advice: There is a Georgia Building Authority Parking Lot directly in front of the Depot on Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. Another option is the Underground Atlanta Parking Deck, which is one block further on MLK, Jr. Drive. Look for the neon Underground Atlanta sign, as it has an arrow leading into the parking deck entrance.
