Project Citizen Showcase
The We the People: Project Citizen Showcase is the state hearing and presentation of portfolios for students researching community problems and presenting public policy solutions.
2011 Results
The Georgia Humanities Council congratulates state portfolio winner Bottle Deposits: Reducing Georgia Litter from Montessori School of Covington in Newton County. This project was submitted by 7th and 8th grade students of Sara Vinson in Georgia Congressional District 8.
The other two portfolios rounding out the top three are listed below in alphabetical order:
- Help Save Lives: Retake the Test—It’s for the Best from Glenn C. Jones Middle School located in Buford in Gwinnett County Schools (Georgia Congressional District 7.) Eighth grade students of Debra Williamson presented this project.
- Out with the Tax, and In with the Stacks! From Glenn C. Jones Middle School, Buford, in Gwinnett County Schools (Georgia Congressional District 7). Eighth grade students of Ann Hince presented this project.
2012 Showcase
